BRAD DAVIS IS A COFFEE FOOL
Flatpicker extraordinaire Brad Davis, who’s left his mark on recordings by Billy Bob Thornton and Marty Stuart among others, loves coffee. His affection for a good cup of joe (and its capacity to keep him picking like lightning over a daylong session) has led to a relationship with the Irving, Texas, fair-trade coffee company, the Coffee Fool. This unique pairing has yielded sponsorship opportunities, support for bluegrass events, and a higher profile among java drinkers who have yet to hear Davis’s flatpicking handiwork. Davis's own special blend is called Flatpicker Fuel—a blend of the Coffee Fool's Breakfast Brew and its House Italian and Extra Fancy Hawaiian Kona beans.
