SILK AND STEAL
Luthiers Kenny Hill and Howard Klepper have both had guitars stolen by a man purporting to be a Jonathan Silk of Long Beach, California (the real Jonathan Silk is a former UCLA professor now living in the Netherlands). The thief requested guitars be shipped to him COD and paid for them with what later turned out to be counterfeit cashier’s checks. So beware of whom you’re shipping your guitar to, especially anyone named Silk, and if you have any information about these valuable one-of-a-kind instruments, contact Klepper or Hill.

Models include all 300-series, acoustic 3 series and higher, solid-bodies, T5’s, T3’s, limited editions, and BTO models. The program ends May 31, 2009.
